It was two weeks since Ezra had gone undercover and Vin was about to go insane. This was the longest that Ezra had been gone since they had become lovers, and Vin was worried. His worry was causing him to snap at his team mates without reason, and the others were seriously considering locking him in a closet until Ezra came back.
Vin looked up from the stack of paperwork on his desk when JD came over, a grin on his face. He took a deep breath and consciously tried to be nice to the younger agent. "Somethin' I can help you with, JD?"
JD shook his head and his grin widened. "Nope, I'm here to help you." He handed Vin a CD case. "Ezra told me to give this to you two weeks after he left. He said to wait till you got home to listen to it."
"This is what he's been gettin' up so early for?"
"Yep. I've been helping him. He wanted to give you something so you wouldn't miss him as much while he was gone." When JD saw Vin smile, he flashed him one of Ezra's two-fingered salutes and went back to his desk.
Vin chuckled. "Thanks, kid."

That night Vin sat in Ezra's townhouse, flipping the CD case between his fingers. He slid the CD into the stereo and smiled when he heard Ezra's voice.
"Well, Vin, I've been gone for two weeks now and you are most likely driving our compatriots insane. I hope that this will make you feel better. Just remember that I miss you as much as you miss me. I love you, Vin."
There was a slight pause, then the music started. Vin was pleasantly surprised when he realized that Ezra was singing. As he listened to the words, tears began to well in his eyes.
It was written in the stars,
On the pages of my heart

The love I feel for you tonight.
On the ocean of our dreams,

And the longing that had been

And I am missing you tonight.Vin smiled when he heard the pure emotion in Ezra's voice. He started humming along with the music, his voice and Ezra's blending.

In my arms again.There was a pause in the music, and Ezra began speaking again. "I do hope that you are feeling better now, Vin. I will try to be back home as soon as is humanly possible. In the meantime, remember that I love you." The music began again, Ezra's voice filled with love.

In my arms again.Vin rose to his feet and put the CD on repeat. "Thanks, Ez. I love you, too. And as soon as ya get back, I'm gonna show you just how much." He walked into the bedroom, pulling off his clothes as he went. He slid between the sheets of Ezra's bed and smiled. Within a few minutes, Vin was asleep with Ezra's voice softly singing in the background.
